Dan was raised on a farm in rural Bangor and now lives on a farm in that same area with his wife, Diane.


Dan has litigated personal injury, business, and real estate disputes. In 2002, he successfully argued the case of O'Neill v. Reemer. et al. before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. This case resulted in a change in the law concerning adverse possession in the State of Wisconsin.  In addition, in 2006, he successfully argued the case of Aslakson v. Gallagher Bassett before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  This case resulted in a change in the law concerning worker's compensation and personal injury in the State of Wisconsin.  Dan once again successfully argued a sand mining rights in front of the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the case of Borek v. Jackson County.

Jack lives in rural Sparta on the family farm with his three children Max, Alex and Julia.

In January of 2007 Jack successfully argued an open meetings case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court in State ex. rel. Buswell v. Tomah Area School District.  This case resulted in a change in the open meetings law in the State of Wisconsin.

Ellen lives in West Salem with her husband Mark, and their three daughters, Elizabeth, Kathleen and Hannah.

 

Prior to starting the firm, Ellen was an Assistant State Public Defender in La Crosse, Wisconsin for six years.  Ellen has represented clients in Western Wisconsin before court commissioners, circuit court judges and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Ben lives in West Salem with his wife, Tracy, and daughter, Isabella.  Ben enjoys playing and watching all sports from football and basketball to hunting and fishing.

Prior to joining the firm, Ben was enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard for ten years and deployed to Iraq in 2004 before attending law school.  While in law school, Ben interned with the Farmer’s Legal Action Group and the United States Department of Agriculture in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Mr. Frank joined Arndt, Buswell & Thorn as an associate attorney in August of 2011 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Duquesne University School of Law.  In law school Mr. Frank earned distinction as a Senior Staff Editor for the Duquesne Law Review and as a member of Duquesne's Trial Advocacy Program.  While in law school he also worked for the Taylor County District Attorney's Office and the Wisconsin District I Court of Appeals.

 

Prior to attending law school Mr. Frank graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Communications.  He now lives in Sparta and looks forward to serving the community.
